Bear With Us was created by myself, as well as 4 other developers during the 2015 Global Game Jame. I took on the Technical Artist role, and helped our artist realize his concept within the engine, creating and tweaking shaders, effects, and lighting to achieve the look we wanted. I worked as a bridge between our developers and artist, implementing their mechanics with his artwork, and took a leadership role organizing the team’s efforts.
We took home Best in Show at the Algonquin College jam site, as selected by the “Dirty Rectangles“.
Bear With Us is a hybrid RTS, Twin Stick shooter game. One player, The Architect, lays down blueprints while the builders must collect the resources to construct them! Survive the onslaught of bears as you build walls and towers to defend your totem.
